Biography

Rannvijay Singh Singha, born on March 16, 1983, in Jalandhar, Punjab, India, is a renowned Indian actor, television personality, and VJ. He gained prominence as the winner of the first season of MTV Roadies in 2003 and subsequently became a prominent host and gang leader on the show.  

Early Life and Education

Rannvijay hails from a distinguished military family; his father, Lt. General Iqbal Singh Singha, served in the Indian Army and was later appointed as the UN Force Commander in Syria. His mother, Baljeet Kaur, is a poet. Due to his father's transferable job, Rannvijay attended nine different schools across India before graduating from Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi. He later pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree from Hansraj College, University of Delhi.

MTV Roadies and Television

Rannvijay's journey to fame began with MTV Roadies, where his charisma and leadership skills stood out. After winning the inaugural season, he transitioned into hosting and mentoring roles, becoming synonymous with the show. His association with MTV extended to other shows like MTV Splitsvilla, MTV Stuntmania, and MTV Troll Police, showcasing his versatility as a host.  

Film Career

Venturing into acting, Rannvijay made his Bollywood debut with "Toss: A Flip of Destiny" in 2009. He appeared in films like "London Dreams" alongside Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn, "Action Replayy," and the Punjabi film "Dharti." His performances were appreciated, adding another dimension to his entertainment career.  

Web Series and Other Ventures

In the digital space, Rannvijay portrayed Professor Siddharth Sinha in the Netflix series "Mismatched," receiving positive reviews. He also appeared in the Zee5 anthology "Forbidden Love."  

Personal Life

Rannvijay married Prianka Vohra on April 14, 2014, in Mombasa, Kenya. The couple has two children: a daughter, Kainaat, born on January 17, 2017, and a son, Jahaanvir, born on July 12, 2021. 

Interests and Philanthropy

An avid motorcycle enthusiast, Rannvijay owns several bikes, including a Suzuki GSX-R600 and a Royal Enfield. He is also a basketball fan, supporting the Golden State Warriors. Beyond entertainment, he co-owned the I-League football club Minerva Punjab, reflecting his interest in sports development.
