Neha Dhupia, born on August 27, 1980, in Kochi, Kerala, is a renowned Indian actress, model, and beauty pageant titleholder. She gained national recognition after winning the Femina Miss India title in 2002 and subsequently representing India at the Miss Universe 2002 pageant, where she secured a spot in the top 10 finalists. 

Early Life and Education

Neha was born into a Punjabi-speaking Sikh family. Her father, Commander Pradip Singh Dhupia, served in the Indian Navy, and her mother, Manpinder (Babli Dhupia), is a homemaker. Due to her father's naval postings, Neha's early education spanned various cities. She attended Naval Public School in Kochi and later Army Public School in Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi. She pursued higher education at Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi, graduating with honors in History.

Pageantry and Modeling Career

Neha's foray into the limelight began with modeling assignments and appearances in music videos, notably for the Indian pop band Euphoria. Her significant breakthrough came in 2002 when she clinched the Femina Miss India title. Neha transitioned to acting with her debut in the Telugu film "Ninne Istapaddanu" in 2003. The same year, she made her Bollywood debut with "Qayamat: City Under Threat," earning a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.

Her portrayal in the 2004 film "Julie" garnered significant attention, establishing her as a bold and versatile actress. Personal Life

Neha married actor Angad Bedi, son of former Indian cricketer Bishan Singh Bedi, in a private ceremony at a Gurudwara on May 10, 2018. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Mehr Dhupia Bedi, on November 18, 2018. Their second child, a son named Guriq Singh Dhupia Bedi, was born on October 3, 2021.  

Philanthropy and Advocacy

Neha is actively involved in philanthropic activities. She participated in the Mumbai Marathon to support the Concern India Foundation, raising significant funds for the cause. Additionally, she contributed to relief efforts for victims of the 2011 Sikkim earthquake.
